Deborah Shaddon
Deborah Shaddon has been part of Westside since 2016 and loves both the community Jeff Ash has created and the fact that it’s just four blocks from her home. She first studied improv in the ’90s at Players Workshop of the Second City and performed with the team Mooky Soup at the now-defunct but legendary Improv Institute in Chicago. She also holds a Master of Science in Software Engineering.
At Westside, Deborah performed with Wet Cement and has been a proud member of the lovely ladies of Not Sorry since 2021. Rediscovering improv later in life has been a true joy and creative second act.
By day, she’s a software architect, dreaming of retiring from corporate IT, spending more time traveling in her camper van, and giving back through Tech for Good initiatives. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking/backpacking, painting, piña coladas, and saying “yes, and” to getting caught in the rain—sometimes intentionally on a backcountry trail overlooking Lake Superior.
