This show is open to all teams. House, indie, new, old, student, veteran or otherwise. Duos or big groups, all are welcome. The expectation is that you are in fact a team though. How to define a team? You have gotten together and practiced or at least talked a bit about what you want to do together. This isn’t just grabbing folks in the lobby and jumping on stage.
-
Submit your team for consideration to play. Each show will be programmed like a real show, so likely smaller/newer groups going first. The intention is to give everyone a good block of time to play so you are not guaranteed a slot right away but if you sign up you will get a slot soon, just maybe not right away. Send an email to kim@westsideimprov.com expressing your interest in playing.

If you want to play, you ought to stay. This is a show that is about support, inclusion, community. If you play the strong ask (go ahead and read that as “requirement”) is that you come to the show, stay for the show, and watch your fellow players. Don’t ask for an early slot so you can go home. It’s one hour folks, you can do it! Support and cheer for your friends!!

COME SEE THE SHOW
For right now this is a free show. Why not come see it? Even if you aren’t playing?? It is Saturday night, it is one hour! Come see the show!

A few extra thoughts… answers to some questions that might be floating in….
This isn’t a BYOT or a replacement for BYOT. This is rather a new kind of show that lives somewhere between BYOT and a regular show. The intention is to give just a little extra space for play but in a format that is a bit more contained than a pure BYOT. It can be a place for some experimentation, playing with new people, trying new forms.
A big deal is this: you know what to expect going in. You will know where you are in the run order before the show begins. You will know what other teams are playing. And you will know that you will be done by 11pm.
For the first month this won’t be a public show but the plan is for it to become a public show soon.

See you at The After Hour!
