Stephen Sondheim is one of the greatest composers in American musical theater history — think Sunday in the Park with George, Into the Woods, and Sweeney Todd. We’ll use his incredible style to inspire our improvised songs.
No pressure, no perfection required — just a love of music, theater, and jumping in feet first. We'll guide you through everything.
Dramatic improv scenes that are raw and real. This will supply the emotional fuel for our songs.
Singing in styles out of the Sondheim playbook - including inner monologues, layered lyrics and melodies, and patter songs.
Prerequisite: Completion of Westside Level 2 or the equivalent.
*Some experience with music improv is helpful but not required for this workshop.
